During the Fall of 2015, we sat down to identify what it means to be Leal Insurance Services. Who are we?
What do we do? Why do we exist? How do we operate?
Identifying our core values is important because they will answer those questions, but more importantly they will
guide the direction of our company as we continue to grow. We shared what was important to us individually, as
a team, and how best to represent that to our clients so that we are all proud to be a part of this. We left
the planning session with our thoughts and ideas, continued to work on our own, and regrouped a week later
and came up with our final core values:
Listen, Educate, Advocate, Local
Since creating our core values, we ensure everything that we do in the office reflects our core values; from our client interactions, to
the companies we represent, and even our community outreach, including events such as Shred Day. While we
have occasionally mentioned our core values on previous blog posts, in e-mails, or on social media, we have
never formally introduced them. So here you go:
- Listen (and evaluate): We understand that everyone’s insurance needs are different; from when you start the quote, to how you choose to communicate, to the claims process. We are here to identify a client’s needs and
then finding the best solution using our premier network of carriers to ensure a customer is able to recover from
- Educate: Let’s be honest, insurance can be confusing. We are here to help you navigate the ins and
outs of your coverage. We will identify where gaps might exist in your current coverage and the
importance of having the right coverage in place. Education might be one-on-one, in a seminar setting,
or town hall style.
- Advocate: Since we’re not tied to one carrier, we will leverage our network of carriers to find the
right coverage and competitive pricing for a customer during the quoting process. When filing a claim, we
will help navigate the claims process. In an ever changing industry, we are always on the lookout to
expand our network to be able to continue offering, BIG CITY INSURANCE and SMALL TOWN SERVICE.
- Local: We are local and proud to be from San Antonio. Leal Insurance Services’ Agent/Owner, Luis, is
born and raised and an eighth generation San Antonian. We give back where we can by hosting events
like Shred Day to help clients prevent identity theft/fraud, raising money for charities like the YMCA
and other causes that are near to our hearts, and serving weekly at church.
These core values are what shapes our daily interactions, how we operate as a team, and how best we serve
you and our local community. We hope Listen (and evaluate), Educate, Advocate, and Local resonates with
you as much as they do with us.
